And love the new discovery we made! Island X at the Sugar Mill makes natural shave ice. Not like the sugary syrup that's found at Matsumotos and everywhere else but syrup that the owner's wife makes by picking local fruit, pureeing it, and making a syrup out of it! Imagine that -- a fruit syrup made from, well, fruit!
It is DELICIOUS! I've been telling everyone to go try it out. It's much pricier than the other kind of shave ice, but it's worth it.
Here the girls are all enjoying a mango shave ice.

That's some shave ice, I would try as well. We never had any while we were in Hawaii. It sounds much yummier than the other!
