Here in Hawaii, May Day (or Lei Day) is as big a celebration as any other holiday on the mainland. Some kids are chosen to represent the different islands of Hawaii and dress in mu'u-mu'us with beautiful leis. Then each class performs a dance, usually a Hawaiian dance. Kezia is in the middle back with a purple orchid lei.
